Today I had a interesting task it was to tell you guys if I would like to go to the Tāne Mahuta by the way it is a endemic(native) tree in New Zealand I would love to go and see this big tree because it looks like a nice tree and because I would like to go see if we can harvest anything from the huge tree for like sickness and other stuff I really found this task pretty fun and interesting but I hope you guys enjoyed this Task have a merry Xmas to you and your guys family and happy holiday!!😎😄😄

summer learning journey(part 2)

here in my home town/Auckland there are a lot of beautiful beaches like coromandle/hot water beach and a lot of big green fields and than there is tall buildings in the city bit of Auckland. also heaps of arcades like extreme I like going there because if you save some tickets and get you some really cool prizes I love my city because my family lives every where and I can go see some new places because I still need to see most of my beautiful home city I hope you enjoyed this blog post my task was to talk about my home town

summer learning journey(part 1)

On Friday I had a task it was to give facts about new Zealand. I read the facts from fun facts about New Zealand here is the link just in case you would like to see some other facts. about my wonderful island so here is my facts that I got from that link. this is one of the ones that I did not know about new  Zealand(Compared the last one with Unite stat of America ) was that it was once governed as part of the territory of New south wales and later part of Australia. my next fact is that you have to drive on the left side of the road. it is different to USA they have to drive on the right side of the road and my last fact is that the Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud. I hope you enjoyed my three facts about New Zealand

Me and hopa's art project

here is a snowman that me and my friend Hopa made it was a little bit hard to make it but at the end it broke because Hopa dropped it and it smashed but it is okay because at least we got a photo of it. in the beginning we started of with a house then someone chucked it in the bin so then we had to start again but Mr Wiseman said that we had to start on clay so then we made a Christmas box but then we changed our minds and then that is how we got to make a snow man. here is a photo and the snowman that we created "Harry" It was a very long time before we created Harry the snowman we got harry from the 2 dollar shop because he is made out of clay. here is some work from this week it is called B,E,D,M,A,S it stands for Brackets Exponents Divide Multiply Add and Subtract when you do B,E,D,M,A,S you have to do it in that order so you get the answer

Ratio and proportions

On Thursday we did some work about proportions and ratio(A proportion is an equation with a ratio on each side. It is a statement that two ratios are equal. 3/4 = 6/8 is an example of a proportion. When one of the four numbers in a proportion is unknown, cross products may be used to find the unknown number. This is called solving the proportion) I got this from my helpful friend google because I forgot what it was but I hope you enjoy my work

Move ya body task

here is some work that me and some of my friends have been working on over the past few week me and my group were doing ping pong(Table tennis) on Thursday and when I went on it was a bit scary but then we played some of ping pong(table Tennis) when I played on my second turn I slipped and hit the floor but I acted as it was supposed to happen but then everyone laugh but that was my goal to make everyone laugh

In these 2 week I have been working on a writing task it was called show don't tell. It was a really good task we had to pick one athlete but it can't be Mr bolt so i choose Wallace Spearmon. He was a really cool person to write about it was so hard to write but then i got there at the end. here is a photo of him

My awesome trip to coromandel

on Friday 24 of August I went to a place called Coromandel also known as the hot water beach. it is on the east coast of new Zealand on the north island. it was a very long drive from Auckland to there I think it was a 2 hour's and 37min drive to Coromandel from Auckland. I don't really like long drives because it gives me a sore head. put we stopped to get some lunch at MacDonald and then we stared to drive again. but then after lunch i had a little nap and then when i woke up BANG I was at the camping ground when I was there and then I turned around and there was a big chest so then I went there and played chest with my cousin he was really hard to beat but that he eliminated me with his horse. but then something coot my eye it was a giant bounce thing at first and then I found out that it was called a bounce pillow. But then I walked to the shop to go buy me aye ice cream then i saw..... a buggy so then I ran home to go ask if  I could hire one and my nana said yes so then I ran back to the shop and asked the ladies if I could hire it and then they said yes so then it was 20$ for a hour and 6$ for half so I cave the ladies 20$ for a hour I got to pick the one I wanted. I just saw a big orange one so I picked that one and rode it home so I could take some people around the whole camping ground. it was so fun but my favourite bit was going to the beach at 11.00 and 10.00 it was so nice and warm but the first one I dug up was really hot and then it just got warmer and warmer. and then we went to hahei where you can go on a boat but not normal boat it was a taxi but it took you to a beach were you could walk through a cave. Ones we where done that we when to go gets some ice cream then went back home to get the dinner ready. it was so yum but everyone was watching the all blacks vs Australia. So I had some dinner and watched the game there was a lot of NZ fans and only two Australia fans but the Australia fans where so funny when they lost. here is a photo of the hot water

On Monday we had a immersion assembly. it is a assembly where the teacher’s
tell you what you are doing this term.It’s when teacher’s do videos they do it in the holidays.in assembly our principal was dressed up as
beyonce and then he made us dance and everyone loved it and then miss haere started to dance and she had better dance moves then Mr Burt.
And everyone joined in i think  he could do better is put on some makeup.

this week in rm 2 we had a task the task was to pick two people out of the presentation(Andrew Fifta or Paris Goebel) i choose Andrew Fifta here is my paragraph. Andrew Fifita is a famous NRL(national rugby league ) player. He played for the Western Tigers for the 2010-11 season. Then he played for the Cronulla Sharks. He was born in Blacktown,New South Wales,Australia. He represented Tonga, Indigenous All Stars,City New South Wales  Andrew Fifita has played for a lot of different teams in his rugby career.
  

force and motion

We did force and motion because we wanted to share to the team 4 student it was for our expo out in the street.

Our first idea was to make a bouncy egg and our last idea was to make an egg go through a glass bottle without the egg breaking in the bottle.

The one we choose was the egg in the bottle but it failed so we tried another experiment and it was a balloon on it was motion its where we putted a coin in a balloon and chucked it and it will start wiggling but it didn’t work so we were playing with it until it poppet and the coin went to me filipe.

The we tried doing this thing where you put on sellotape and you put in some needles and it will not pop.   

Then we tried this other thing where we put a balloon on our hair and we rub it on our hair so we can make our hair go up or we turn on a tape and try to make the was move.

Then we tried doing planes but we didn’t know how to explain it and it was to figure out the plane parts.

My name is Filipe and i am tongan,samoan and I was born in New Zealand I have 2 brother and 1 sister.I real like hanging out with my family and i like going to the gym down at the pool.I like my new teacher Mrs tapuke and that I am a year 7. But I dislike that it is a bigger block.I really like it when teachers comment on my blog because it lets me know that I can make my post a little bit better.I would like Ms Tapuke to know that i am good at maths.
